Both cats seem to enjoy the grooming with the Furminator, though a light touch and short strokes is required to keep from pulling chunks of fur out and causing discomfort. If the cat's coat has tangles, be sure to follow the directions to groom them out with a different tool before using the Furminator. Have noticed that if I do MY part and keep regular with the Furminator, there is a reduction in hairballs barfed around the house. Wear clothing and groom in an area that you don't mind getting a lot of loose fur !
